Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

So, I've started on a 40k Inquisitor, to go with the servo-skull. Around six hours of work so far. Hair is very much in a placeholdery/experimental lowpolying.

The plan is basically to try to do something loosely based on this concept.

I've been considering making a new spare-time project. This is a quick concept doodle. 

The idea is basically: Female Rick Deckard, Blade Runner. Also Goggles, because goggles.

I've been watching a lot of Napoleonic War tv-shows, and I doodled a bit. Then I decided to add some Lovecraftian stuff, because why not. Still pretty rough, might do some more work later.

I've been watching a lot of Lrr streams lately, and drew a little fanart thing.

Silouettes

I've been trying to do some drawing exercises where I doodle something in black and then try to find something interesting in the shape. Trees and cities have been over-represented. Today it became a wizard. Keeping with the fantasy theme.

Allrighty, colored in the hellenian rowboat thing. Turns out painting things in daylight is a bit tricky because you don't get a lot of shadows. So I cheated and made the colors as if it's dusk even though the sun is in the wrong place.

Doodleboat

I felt like doodling something, and in the meantime my randomized music list decided to play "Reise, Reise", so it ended up being a boat. Might work on it some more.

So, haven't been able to sleep much, decided to doodle a bit. It became a... something.

I've had a pretty rough week wherin I've, among other things, might have been ruder to people than has been strictly necessary and/or said things I rather I hadn't. As is often the case when I feel like that like that, I felt restless and like doing something creative, but quickly. So I fired up photoshop, did some angry scratches here and there and this is what it ended up as:

It's a treehouse, of sorts...Yeah, I don't know. Halfway through my mind got stuck on minarets, so...

It's still pretty doodely. I don't know if I'll finish it, but I kinda figured that throwing stuff online even if I wasn't finished was kinda what I started this blog for.

Back from the not-really-dead?

Allright, so I've been kind of under the weather for quite a while. I'm trying to get back on the horse, so I've done a bit of self-indulgent doodling again. To be honest, the main reason I tend to fall back on self-portraits is that it's what's close at hand if I feel like doing something but don't know what and don't really feel like I have the energy to do a "real" thing.

Last time someone asked me to do sort of a wip-timelside. So here's this with around 10 minute intervals:

And the end product is here. Once the actual portrait was done I kind of felt like making a mucha-esque decoration, but I was kind of checking out at that point so it's pretty rough. Anyway, close enough for government work:

And yes, I'm always sort of frowning when I do one of these. You try smiling nonstop for an hour.

I'll try to do something more exciting soon.
